The matches:

The tournament will be won over 3 matches, who will be held in Sliema, Kalkara and Birgu ports respectively. The seabed is a mix of sand, rocks and algae. The main bait used is worms for bottom fish and all type of breams, bread for mullet, and other local bait which you can order at least a week before.

The first match will start Friday evening at 5 pm clock for a duration of 5 hours. The second match will be held Saturday morning at 10am – 3.00 pm. And the final match will be held Sunday morning from 6 – 11 am   

The Fish

All the fish has to be kept alive in keepnets of at least a metre (no steel keepnets may be utilized)

The Rules

All tournament rules will be published on our website at a later stage but they will nearly identical to the normal Kingfisher Rules.

The Teams

All teams will be composed of 4 anglers. They will be fishing in pairs. The pegs will be drawn 1 hour before the match. All fish count without limit of dimensions.

Admission: The admission fee is LM 60 (140 Euro) + Lm 10 (24 euro) for each team and Lm 10 (24 euro) per person for a presentation meal which will be held on Sunday evening at 8 pm.  The fee for KSFA members will be subsidized.

Apart from wonderful trophies for the first three teams, the winning team will get 200 euros per person.

We promise you a wonderful experience with a high degree of seriousness, which will raise the quality of Maltese angling.
