How do you prepare yourself prior to an event/ competition? Bait, rigs?

I light a candle in front of St. Paul’s titular statue in Valletta.

Your favorite competition location? Why?

Senglea because it’s close to home, most pegs are easily accessible and you can park your car nearby.

  Your favorite “fun fishing” location?

As if I’m gonna tell you… Just joking… It’s Senglea point because you never leave empty handed.

  Your favorite fish? Why?

Sawrella… because you can practically make a fixed appointment with it… you always find in particular places every day at particular times.

  Your favorite fishing method?

Running ledger

  Favorite fishing equipment? Rods, hooks, monofilament, floats etc….?

I love Shimano rods and reels though there aren’t many available at present. I also like Mitchell rods and lines. Then I use nexen and Suehiro hooks.

  Your occupation when not fishing?

Communications Co-Ordinator at the Ministry for Youth and the Arts

  Other interests or hobbies?

I cannot live without going to the cinema at least once a week

  What are your thoughts on the future of sport fishing in Malta?

It’s rosy, but I would like to see it less fragmented.

Falling into the sea while fishing during a doubles match at Xemxija! Actually, I should be sorry for myself for trashing my new digital camera, but I still laugh about it when someone from the club mentions it!
