Any Personal Records? Biggest fish caught?

Personal record Placing 3rd in the Ksfa final standings singles 

league in 2000. Last year placed 4th in the Ksfa singles league and 4th 

in the Nfsam league. Catching a total of 2.26 kilos during a Ksfa match at SA MAISON 

DEC 2001. Forming part of a team participating during a match at Bari representing the NFSAM. 

It was really a fantastic experience.  

Biggest fish caught Sea Bass 1.3 kilos on cheddar.

How do you prepare yourself prior to an event/ competition? Bait, rigs?

I think that the competition starts a week before the actual date, planning it at home. It is important that on the 

peg while fishing
during a match you cannot afford to waste time tying hooks and so on. I prepare most of the rods that I think I am 

going to use and I also
prepare the ground bait. Regarding the rigs I have some ready rigs that I use only during matches and always try to keep 

the same amount 

from a competition to another. 

Your favorite competition location? Why?

St. Angelo. I always landed some good weight and won a good number of trophies there.

Your favorite “fun fishing” location?

Marsascala. It is the place where I test my new rigs especially calibration of the floats. 

It is one of my favorite also because the sea is shallow and I like fishing in shallow waters especially during Summer.

Your favorite fish? Why?

Sea Bass. I consider this fish as the queen of Seas. Lately also the mullet is becoming one of my favorites.

Your favorite fishing method?

Bolognese with a seven meter rod and Pole fishing.

Favorite fishing equipment? Rods, hooks, monofilament, floats etc….?

Various. Something I think I am stuck to is Falcon line.

Nursing Aide

What are your thoughts on the future of sport fishing in Malta?  

I think that we are on the right track. Maybe we need to do some

more hard work regarding the attraction of more anglers becoming match

anglers.

Describe your favorite fish story?

All my fishing sessions. As far as I am fishing I am always

feeling I am in Heaven even when I do not have a single bite. It is so
