Any Personal Records? Biggest fish caught?

Caught big fish the likes of Alungi and Pastardell but never kept any records

How do you prepare yourself prior to an event/ competition? Bait, rigs?

I start my main preparations before every season, then as the season heats up it's just a matter of some minor rigs and top ups to the tackle box

Your favorite competition location? Why? 

Kalkara since I always landed good weights

Your favorite “fun fishing” location? 

Sliema and Gzira tops my list since they are close to my home

Your favorite fish? Why?

All the species that gives you a good fight on light tackle

Your favorite fishing method?

All float fishing methods

Favorite fishing equipment? Rods, hooks, monofilament, floats etc….?  

Mitchell and Artico rods are my vavourite. I also own a Spanish Falcon 7mtrs spinning rod on which I enjoy fixed float fishing. Shimano reels, fly line and Nexus hooks are the others.

Your occupation when not fishing?

Senior Sales representative for Vernon Foods.

Other interests or hobbies?  

I like spending the few free time while not fishing with my family. I'm also a keen Arsenal supporter.

What are your thoughts on the future of sport fishing in Malta?  

I am becoming incresingly aware that as time goes by no ports will be left to fish from.

Describe your favorite fish story.......................

Taking my uncle drifting with my boat and watching him catch his first ever lampuka. The look on his face was incredible.

This year, I also experienced a 600gms Kubrita fishing with farka using a 0.14mm line on a 9mt Artice pole rod. I ended up with a broken rod for which I had to pay LM20 to fix it again!!!! Actually I was fishing for mullet........
