A 2.0kg mullet is my personal biggest fish record to date

How do you prepare yourself prior to an event/ competition? Bait, rigs?

Organizing my tackle box one week before event is a must. Then I also prepare my rods and rigs

Your favorite competition location? Why? 

Gozo is my favourite. We always end up catching a good 

number of fish

Your favorite “fun fishing” location? 

San Maison. I've been fishing in this location for years now and I tend to know every inch in the area.

Your favorite fish? Why?

Dentici is on top of my favourites. It gives you a good fight once hooked.

Your favorite fishing method?

Running Ledger.

Favorite fishing equipment? Rods, hooks, monofilament, floats etc….?  

Mitchell rods, Mustad Ayaka lines and Mustad hooks.

Your occupation when not fishing?

Senior tradesman at Wireless and Telegraphy Department

Other interests or hobbies?  

Fishing and fishing and fishing and always fishing........

What are your thoughts on the future of sport fishing in Malta?  

Fish is from year to year decreasing from our shores but regarding sport fishing the future looks bright. Encouraging more catch and release during our events will surely help in marine conservation
